If you have been following my articles on this Blog and my various economic analysis articles, I have been indicating that we are now likely entering a less buoyant economic cycle. This puts more importance to have family businesses shape up and sharpen their pencil on all fronts – be it corporate governance, strategic planning, organisational structure, the use of data and financial analysis and succession planning. An event, called the Transeo Summit will be held next week, in which EMCS shall be sponsoring the breakfast on Friday 13th October at 9am at the Grand Hotel Excelsior.
Why should this be event be interesting for you as a family business?
During this event, we will start off from discussing the finding of an extensive research EMCS has done together with the Malta Chamber and the Family Business Office and which we presented in February 2023, on the situation of family business in Malta. You can review the results of this survey by clicking HERE.
The results are clear. We have a gap in the vast majority of family businesses on various fronts, especially when it comes to strategic planning and corporate governance.
At EMCS, we did not sit on our laurels. We are on a mission to help family businesses shape up. Since we deal with family businesses all the time, we fully understand the help they need and how they need it. We have developed a Business Reality Check service – a holistic service for family businesses, intended to provide strategic, corporate governance, organisational structuring and financial analysis advisory services. We also assist family businesses on various other issues from policy making, conflict management and succession planning. Besides the above, we also offer EU funding advisory services, extensive market research services and various accredited and tailor- made training services through our EMCS Academy. One of these courses is the only accredited course available on how to lead a family business. Ultimately our core philosophy distinguishes us from the rest. Our priority is that of helping SMEs & Family businesses first and foremost and in ensuring we deliver maximum value, rather than how we are going to charge more fees. This means that we are not the typical advisors that just gives you a report and than vanishes into the distance. We like getting our hands dirty and in really helping family businesses implement change and in many instances hand holding them in making that happen.
I hope I have convinced you to attend the event I spoke to you about. If I did please click HERE to register. I promise it will be worth your while.
