Purpose is the foundational driving force behind everything I do. It is the foundation that shapes my approach to my work as a family business advisor, economic analyst, and council member of The Malta Chamber. Through these roles, I have developed a deep commitment to helping family business grow and become more resilient, whilst giving my contribution to shape economic policy to ensure Malta’s future prosperity. In essence I feel that fulfilling these roles is a mission, whereby success is measured by my commitment and perseverance.
On one hand, as a family business advisor, my purpose is to help family businesses navigate the unique challenges they face. Family businesses are the backbone of Malta’s economy, and their longevity depends on proper governance, strategic planning, and the smooth transition of leadership from one generation to the next. My role is to provide guidance that ensures these businesses remain competitive while preserving their core values and legacy. Many family businesses struggle with succession planning, internal conflicts, and adapting to modern business practices. My sense of purpose is rooted in empowering these businesses with the tools and knowledge necessary to overcome such challenges. By fostering transparent decision-making processes, promoting professional management, and encouraging innovation, I try my very best to help family businesses not only survive but thrive.
On the other hand, economic analysis plays a crucial role in shaping policies and guiding businesses toward informed decision-making. As an economic analyst, my purpose is to provide insights that help businesses, policymakers, and stakeholders understand market trends, anticipate challenges and seize opportunities. By closely monitoring economic indicators, assessing policy implications, and evaluating business environments, I try to provide accurate and strategic recommendations that contribute to Malta’s economic resilience.
Both of the above outlined roles, find a new meaning within the Malta Chamber. Serving as a council member of The Malta Chamber for the past 2 years has been both an honour and a great responsibility. My sense of purpose in this role stems from a strong belief in the power of collaboration between businesses, policymakers, and institutions to drive economic progress. The Malta Chamber serves as a vital platform for advocacy, networking, and policy development, ensuring that businesses in Malta have a strong voice in shaping the nation’s economic future. Through my involvement in The Malta Chamber, I contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the Chamber’s policy foundations and to ensure that the Chamber’s voice remains a well researched and balanced voice of reason and rectitude.
In conclusion, at the core of my work lies a deep sense of purpose—one that drives me to help family businesses achieve long-term success, provide economic insights that inform better decisions and policy making, and contribute to the ongoing development of Malta’s business landscape. Whether through advising businesses, analysing economic trends or advocating for sensible and economic sound policies, my mission is clear: to support sustainable economic growth and help shape a future where Maltese businesses continue to thrive.
I thus hope that I can count on the vote and support of the Service Providers Economic Group members to continue living this purpose within The Malta Chamber.
